The annual Katina Pinkama of the Adelaide Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara will be held on Sunday 28th October 2018 under the patronange of Mr Nayan Perera, who has been a longstanding member of the Vihara. The ceremony marks the end of the monks’ retreat to meditation and religious practices during the rainy season.
The Katina Perahara will leave Avasageya at 9 a.m on 28th October and reach the temple premises after proceeding along the car park for the Katina Cheevara pooja at 9.45 a.m. Rest of the programme includes Buddha pooja followed by a sanghika dana at 11.00 a.m. Programme concludes with a Katinanusasana dhamma desana by Viharadhipati Ven. Udagabbala Sumedha Thero at 6 p.m.

මෙවර කඨීන පිංක‍මේ සුවිශේෂත්වය වනුයේ ඒ හා සමගාමී ව ප්‍රථම වරට විනයානුකූලව සිදු කරන “කඨින චීවරය මැසීමේ හා පඬු පෙවීමේ” උත්සවයයි. කඨින චීවරය මැසීම 2018 සැප්තැම්බර් මස 22 වැනි දින එනම් ලබන සෙනසුරාදා ප.ව. 3.00 සිට ප.ව. 7.30 දක්වා අප කාටත් සුපුරුදු John Poole (Athelstone Primary School, 13 Brookside Road, Athelstone) ශාලාවේ දී සිදු වේ. මෙම දුර්ලභ අවස්ථාවට සම්බන්ධවිී පින් රැස් කර ගන්නා ලෙස මෙයින් ගෞරවයෙන් ආරාධනා කර සිටිමු. මෙම පිංකම ඉදිරි පරම්පරාව වන අපගේ දරැවන්ට ද නැරඹීම සඳහා රැගෙන එන ලෙසට ද යෝජනා කරමු.
කප් රැක සඳහා ද මුදල් පිරිකර හෝ වෙනත් පූජා ද්‍රව්‍ය හෝ පරිත්‍යාග කළ හැකිය.

11.00am – දානය
12.00noon – “පිරිකර පූජාව” සහ ආශිර්වාදය
12.15pm – “පුණ්‍යානුමෝදනාව”
12.30pm – දිවා ආහාරය
