Leaders and representatives of different religions from the Sri Lankan community gathered on Saturday 27th April to pay their respects to the victims of the Sri Lankan bomb attacks on Easter Sunday.
The Adelaide Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara Committee organised the event to remember the 250 people killed and 500 injured in a series of blasts at church services and luxury hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Dr. Jan-Claire Wisdom, Mayor Adelaide Hills Council invited as a Chief Guest of the event. Dr Charitha Perera, Honorary consul for Sri Lanka in South Australia and Dr. Sarath Senadeera, President of Adelaide Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara were in attendance at the event. Over 200 people gathered in the Adelaide Sri Lanka Cultural Hub to pay their respects.
