The 12th Annual Food & Cultural Festival was held on a beautiful day in February, celebrating ASLA’s 50th Anniversary. with friends and family in the sunshine. The crowd enjoyed a wide variety of delicious Sri Lankan food, including Sri Lankan traditional sweets. There was also a stall of cultural attire which was available to try on and textiles and traditional clothing for sale. Those attending soaked up the atmosphere with dancing displays by Sihala Kala Rangayathanaya and music by Thanuwa.
The event was graced by the Hon Emily Bourke MLC, Hon Jing Lee MLC, Hon Vincent Tarzia MP, Mayor of Unley, Mr Michael Hewitson, Dr Charitha Perera,
Honorary Consul of Sri-Lanka, and leaders of all Sri Lankan organisations. There was also participation from other community organisations, including Rotary Club.
