One new coronavirus case has been detected in a student from Woodville High School, sparking an urgent self-isolation directive.

A female student at Woodville High School has tested positive to coronavirus, prompting an urgent warning from health authorities.

SA Health on Wednesday night revealed the new case and urged anyone who attended the school at 11 Actil Avenue, St Clair, on Monday, November 23 to immediately self-isolate.

The self-isolation direction also applies to all members of the same household until further notice. It is not known if the case is linked to the Parafield cluster.

SA Health said further advice would be provided to all staff, students and their families/caregivers as soon as possible.

Woodville High School will be closed on Thursday to undergo deep cleaning and allow SA Health to do detailed contact tracing and risk assessment.
