Adelaide Sri Lanka’s Buddhist Vihara’s annual Vesak festival for 2018 was successfully held on 26th and 27th of May under the patronage of the Chief incumbent Ven. Udagabbala Sumedha Thero and resident monks with the participation of many devotees.

The Vesak Seela Bhavana program for the adults was held on 26th while special sil program for children was held on 27th at Crafers Temple.

The highlight of this year’s Vesak celebration was the unveiling of Replica of Toluvila Buddha Statue on the afternoon of 27th of May.  The opening ceremony was followed by a special Budha Pooja and Vesak Dhamma  Dehsana. The children of SBS, university students and members of the community sang Bhakthi Ghee. Beautifully constructed Vesak lantern were on display during the evening celebration. The annual Vesak Dan Sala was organised by volunteers and well received by the devotees.
